The Sony VENICE 2 8K Cine Kit with DVF-EL200 integrates the professional cinema camera, a robust, bright OLED Full HD viewfinder offering excellent resolution and 2 pre-installed licenses*.
The Sony VENICE 2 8K is a professional cinema camera that offers an interchangeable 36x24mm full-frame sensor, a dynamic range of 16 stops and internal recording up to ProRes 4K 4444 and 422, on a high-speed ASX card.
It can shoot and record 8.6K footage at 30 fps and 8.2K in 17:9 or 16:9 at up to 60 fps. Its sensor increases the base ISO sensitivity to an impressive 800/3200 for sharper images in a variety of situations.
Its 8.6K sensor can be swapped with the original VENICE’s 6K sensor to enable higher resolution image recording with the original camera. Like the original VENICE, it comes with a removable PL mount that supports Cooke/i Technology lens metadata protocols, allowing you to work with a cinematic style ranging from vintage to modern. Remove the PL mount to reveal a Sony E-mount and thus benefit from compatibility with the wide range ofE-mount lenses.
Finally, the camera incorporates 8 motorized ND filters that go from clear to 8 stops in 1-stop increments.
*The CBKZ-3620A license is an anamorphic license. It allows you to capture 5.8K 6:5 footage using X-OCN and record uncompressed 5.8K footage to AXS memory cards. You can also output decompressed 4K or HD images to the viewfinder and monitor outputs after downscaling.
The CBKZ-3620F license allows full-frame shooting. This allows you to capture and record X-OCN 8.6K 3:2, 8.2K 17:9, and 7.6K 16:9 footage. You can also output 4K or HD images to the viewfinder, SDI, and monitor outputs after down-conversion.
