Introducing the Wooden Camera Base Plate System for Canon C400
The ARCA Base Plate System positions the camera at the correct optical height for accessory mounting and allows for quick transitions between setups. The Riser Plate can be used alone with the ARCA Shoulder Pad or the ARCA Steadicam Plate; the Base Plate is required for tripod or dovetail systems.
The ARCA Riser Plate includes a lens mount adapter with an adjustable rail to distribute the lens mount’s load across the camera body while preventing accessories (such as RF to PL mount) from shifting during lens changes. Side ¼-20 mounting points allow you to keep accessories attached while switching between configurations.
The Base Plate allows you to remove the Dovetail Bridge Plate and attach it to a Studio Base Plate or directly to a dovetail. Optional 15mm rods with light spacing add support to your setup with other LWS accessories, such as the Universal Lens Support (15mm LWS). Quick-release fasteners allow you to rapidly adjust the Bridge Plate’s position on accessories like the 20cm Safety Dovetail, the Unified Bridge Plate, or the Shoulder Rig V3.
