The Sony FE C 16-35mm T3.1 G is a fast and flexible wide-angle cine zoom lens for your full-frame or Super 35mm cinema camera. It features a constant T3.1 aperture and three independent rings for precise control. You can use the zoom manually or the removable Zoom Servo unit to easily create dramatic fast or slow zooms. It can also be controlled via the camera grip or an optional external zoom. The FE C 16-35 boasts a true cine design with its 0.8 MOD gearing and 114mm diameter to fit standard follow focus and matte boxes.
Its optical design incorporates two extra-low dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberrations, as well as two XA elements and three aspherical elements, which significantly control spherical aberrations for a high degree of image sharpness and clarity. In addition, a Nano AR coating has been applied to minimize ghosting and lens flare for enhanced contrast and color fidelity when working in bright lighting conditions.
Complementing its optical strengths, this lens features an 11-blade rounded diaphragm to produce beautiful, smooth bokeh. For precise focus control, you can quickly switch between AF and MF with a switch. Linear-response manual focus allows for responsive, lag-free control for smooth operation. The focus ring offers 120° rotation with precise control, and the distance is indicated in feet.
