It also features a constant maximum aperture of F4 and the image quality of the L series. Its optical design incorporates four UD elements that suppress a variety of aberrations across the entire zoom range for improved clarity, along with an Air Sphere Coating to reduce flare and ghosting. Its diaphragm has 9 blades for beautiful bokeh, even at the closest focusing distance (0.6m). Its Dual Nano USM focusing system delivers fast and virtually silent autofocus performance. Furthermore, this lens is weather-sealed and features a fluorine coating to protect the front and rear elements.
