Introducing the Wooden Camera PL Mount Modification Kit for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K
The Wooden Camera PL Mount Modification Kit for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K allows users to convert their EF-mount Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K to a PL mount through a quick modification process. All necessary tools are included in the kit. The PL mount is made of aircraft-grade stainless steel and aluminum and includes the PL cap. Shims are provided for adjusting focus. Additional adjustment should not be necessary but can be verified using a wide-angle lens and a focus chart. The BMPCC6K’s own EF mounting screws are used to attach the PL mount to the camera.
The modification process can be reversed. If you choose to revert to the EF mount later, you can do so by reversing the steps. However, switching back will eventually remove the plastic from your camera, as the sensor assembly is made of composite plastic (it’s robust, but it’s still plastic).
