Introducing the AJA Ki Pro Ultra 12G
The AJA Ki Pro Ultra 12G is a portable multimedia recorder with a built-in 4.8-inch LCD screen. It’s suitable for any environment, from the field to the studio. It supports recording a single 4K stream, either DCI or UHD 4K, as well as multiple HD streams in ProRes. Avid DNxHR and DNxHD recording is supported for a single channel in either 4K or HD. The Ultra 12G features one 12G-SDI input and output, as well as three 3G-SDI inputs. It also includes a dedicated SDI monitor output, with overlays available in the menu system, and a rotary menu selection knob with push-button VTR controls.
An integrated Ethernet connector allows you to control the Ki Pro Ultra 12G via a computer and web browser, and there’s a DB-9 connector for RS-422 control. The unit will easily fit into a control room or OB van. Two AJA Pak media slots allow for continuous recording, as the Ki Pro switches to the empty recording media when the first AJA Pak is full.
With its half-rack width and two-rack height, it’s portable and also rack-mountable with optional accessories. Redundant XLR power inputs prevent catastrophic power failures by providing a second backup power source, ensuring you never lose a frame during recording.
