Introducing the ARRI LCUBE CUB-1
The ARRI LCUBE CUB-1 is a versatile miniature signal converter that converts LBUS protocols to serial protocols and vice versa. With the cforce plus, productions are no longer limited to lightweight setups with the ALEXA Mini, but can also build the camera in a studio configuration with a primary lens or a larger zoom.
The ARRI LCUBE CUB-1 serial converter also allows ARRI electronic control system accessories, such as Master Grips, to communicate with certain third-party cameras.
A color-changing LED indicates the status of the CUB-1’s SETUP button. A quick-release bracket with a 3/8-16 screw is included with the converter. The ARRI LCUBE CUB-1 does not include an LBUS cable (available separately).
Key features of the LCUBE CUB-1
- Provides two LBUS connectors and one SERIAL connector
- Converts LBUS protocols to serial and serial protocols to LBUS
- Can be connected to the ALEXA Mini or ALEXA Mini LF via the LCUBE and a string of one or more Cforce motors
- Provides distance readings to WCU-4
- Enables focus tracking in the same way as with other ALEXA cameras or the UMC-4 universal motor controller
- Offers an integrated dovetail for mounting the LCUBE bracket (K2.0009620) or the CLM-5/cforce mini Clamp Console 19/15 mm (K2.0006176)
