Introducing the Sony HDC-P31
The Sony HDC-P31 is a compact HD POV (point-of-view) camera with remote control capabilities and enhanced HDR workflows. Ideal for studio work, places of worship, and sports event production, it can be mounted in hard-to-reach locations, on cranes, rails, or even robotic systems.
It incorporates a three-sensor 2/3 CMOS system with global shutter that offers high sensitivity and noise reduction for bright images.
Remote access via the web UI allows you to configure menus, monitor status, create log files, and perform remote camera upgrades when the camera is difficult to access. You can adjust the rear focus of compatible lenses remotely from a Sony remote control panel (RCP) or main configuration unit (MSU), and the IP Tally can be connected via network cable.
The camera offers exceptional sensitivity of F12/F13 with very low noise (62 dB). With its CMOS technology, it produces consistent image quality that integrates seamlessly with Sony’s HDC series systems and workflows. Compatible with HDR workflows, the HDC-P31 supports S-Log3 and HLG HDR standards and is suitable for Sony’s SR Live workflow, which enables simultaneous HDR and SDR production. It also produces SR Live metadata, embedded in the SDI output for consistent HDR and SDR signal quality.
