Introducing the Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF

The Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF « body only » is a professional digital camera designed for high-end cinematography. It offers the same performance and features as the full-size model, but without the original accessories. Thanks to its 12K full-frame sensor and wide dynamic range, it delivers exceptional image quality for feature films, television series, and commercials. It features a modular design, advanced connectivity, and Blackmagic RAW recording for maximum post-production flexibility.

A 12K sensor designed for high performance

This camera features the same large RGBW sensor as previous URSA Cine 12K models, offering 16 stops of dynamic range and the latest generation of Blackmagic color science for exceptional image quality. The sensor’s multi-scale design allows for shooting in 12K, 9K (windowed mode), 8K, or 4K, with the ability to select the resolution best suited to each type of production or shot.

A customizable and affordable case

The URSA Cine 12K LF Body is offered at a reduced price because it is sold without certain accessories: shoulder mount, handles, AC power supply, batteries, lens kits, and an 8TB media module. However, this model includes a dual CFexpress module compatible with Blackmagic Cloud, allowing recording in Blackmagic RAW up to 12K resolution at high frame rates (up to 80 fps in 12K and up to 240 fps in 4K).

Compatibility with a wide range of lenses

The camera comes standard with an EF mount, but PL and LPL mounts can be purchased separately. The absence of pre-installed accessories results in complete freedom of configuration: each user can adapt the camera to their workflow and lens collection.

An ideal solution for high-end production

Thanks to its large sensor, Blackmagic RAW recording, and multiple professional connections (Lemo, Fischer, 12G-SDI, 10G Ethernet, USB-C, etc.), the URSA Cine 12K LF Body integrates seamlessly into cinematic shooting environments. The camera also features dual 5-inch HDR touchscreens, a built-in ND filter system, and Blackmagic Color Generation 5, optimized for DaVinci Resolve.
