Introducing the RED V-RAPTOR XCine-Broadcast Pack (Half Rack)

The RED V-RAPTOR XCine-Broadcast Pack (Half Rack) is a RED kit including a RED V-RAPTOR X camera, the Cine-Broadcast, the Base Station, a 7 viewfinder, and numerous other accessories. This package enables live streaming with up to two channels in 4K 60P (HDR/SDR) via 12G-SDI. The system is compatible with remote control panels, such as those from Sony, CyanView , or SKAARHOJ.

The RED V-RAPTOR [X] 8K VV is a powerful digital cinema camera with a full-frame 8K (VV) sensor, offering the flexibility of a large-format camera with global shutter, high frame rates , and 8K recording. It combines the advanced features of the RED V-RAPTORsuch as high frame rates and excellent low-light performancewith the latest advancements in global shutter.

The RED CINE-BROADCAST MODULE enables live streaming with up to two channels in 4K 60P (HDR/SDR) via 12G-SDI; it is also IP-ready thanks to compatibility with the SMPTE ST 2110 (TR-08) standard and can deliver a JPEG-XS stream up to 4K 60P . Compatible with V-RAPTOR XL [X] , V-RAPTOR [X] , and standard V-RAPTOR and V-RAPTOR XL cameras , this module incorporates a LEMO SMPTE 311M/304M hybrid fiber optic connector , which connects to a 2R Full Rack or 4R Half Rack base station .

In addition to the module, RED’s advanced Broadcast Color Pipeline (now available via a firmware update for V-RAPTOR and V-RAPTOR XL cameras) enables live painting of RED cameras in a broadcast or streaming environment. It also offers the ability to make on-demand adjustments and multi-camera color matching using traditional broadcast controls. This new firmware-enabled feature uses industry-standard RCPs to control color parameters in real time via IP, while simultaneously recording this information frame by frame in the file metadata.

This update is available free of charge for all V-RAPTOR and V-RAPTOR XL cameras. Broadcasters can also enhance their workflow with up to 4x slow motion in 4K and 8x in 1080p , as well as advanced AI/machine learning capabilities and direct streaming to headphones using 8K 120FPS R3D files , via the license-enabled RED Connect feature
