Introducing Core SWX Helix Max 275 (V-Mount)
The Core SWX Helix Max 275 (V-Mount) expands the Helix Max battery range with a larger capacity, ideal for the Arri Alexa 35 and RED Raptor XL, which require significant power. Its design differs from the mini Helix Max models (98Wh and 150Wh), but they retain the same features, including the versatile LCD screen (now on the side), RFID, P-Tap, USB, a wraparound LED gauge, and camera communication.
Helix Max is an on-board battery system with cutting-edge power capabilities. Focusing on powering cinema cameras and lighting equipment, Helix Max is the most comprehensive battery system ever offered to the industry, with a native dual-voltage output of 14V/28V, providing better-designed and higher-performing on-board high-voltage solutions.
Maximum yield
The Native Dual Voltage platform is an advanced power distribution system that makes Helix Max battery packs compatible with 14V equipment and chargers, as well as with the high-voltage equipment and lighting used in film cameras. Whether you choose the V-mount, G-mount, or B-mount, this cutting-edge technology allows the Helix Max to output up to 33.6V, which is in the upper range of high-voltage acceptance. This results in reduced current draw, less heat generation, and longer run times. With this platform, the Helix Max can deliver up to 12A to high-voltage devices and 24A to low-voltage devices. It enables 100% efficient power transmission because there is no power regulation on the battery’s mains side, ensuring your equipment operates optimally and without interruption.
LCD screen display time
The Core SWX Helix Max 275 and 360 batteries feature a strategically mounted, backlit, three-phase LCD screen on the side of the pack, providing camera operators with information on battery life and charge status. This advanced LCD is designed to display an estimated runtime when the battery is not in use and the actual runtime when it is, sampling the charge every 3 seconds. When placed on a charger, the LCD rotates 90 degrees to display the remaining charging time until the battery is fully charged. Additionally, the LCD displays a bar graph, usage time in hours and minutes, and the remaining capacity percentage, enabling filmmakers and lighting professionals to make informed decisions about their power management strategy.
Communication with the camera
The Core SWX Helix Max batteries are capable of communicating the remaining battery life to the camera’s screen. By transmitting the same information to the camera as that displayed on the battery life LCD screen, operators can view important data such as voltage, battery life, and percentage directly on their camera.
LED gauge
The Helix Max also features an LED battery status gauge inside its rugged polycarbonate casing. This advanced feature allows you to view the battery status wherever you are. The LED gauge provides a clear visual indication of the remaining battery life, remaining illuminated during both charging and discharging.
