The ME200S-SH uses an 8.29-megapixel Super 35mm CMOS sensor. The camera can produce professional Full HD 1080p/1080i/720p output that can be stored on an external recorder, offering up to 12 stops of dynamic range with Canon Log or Wide DR mode. It reduces camera shake with support for frame rates up to 50P/59.94P for slow-motion recording.

Excellent low-light performance

The ME200S-SH is ideal for a wide range of production applications, from low-light capture to remote performance in situations where lack of light is critical, thanks to an ISO equivalent of 204,800. It also offers the ability to record infrared in color thanks to a retractable infrared filter that can be activated at the touch of a button.

Advanced autofocus and image controls

The ME200S-SH features Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus for stable focus and compatibility with EF lenses. This sensor-based, phase-detection technology is designed to ensure consistently perfect focus. Developed exclusively by Canon, it helps filmmakers take full advantage of the creative possibilities offered by high-speed lenses and shallow depth of field. Electronically controlled ND filters also provide greater control over the image, and numerous custom image settings can be saved for later use.

Easy remote setup and installation

The compact and lightweight ME200S-SH camera offers numerous monitor connectivity options, including output to an external recorder and remote control, with HDMI, Genlock, and two 3G/HD-SDI ports. Remote control is possible via two ports: a 2.5 mm jack and an RS-422 port for the Canon RC-V100 remote control.*

Flexible configuration

Featuring an EF mount with cinema lock, the ME200S-SH camera can accommodate a wide range of compatible EF/EF-S lenses from Canon’s lineup, including zooms, primes, and a selection of Canon power lenses* (with a 12-pin interface).
