ZEISS Supreme Prime Radiance lenses allow cinematographers to create beautiful, consistent, and controlled highlights in the image while maintaining contrast without compromising light transmission. They also offer all the attributes of a modern cinema lens: large-format coverage, high speed, robustness, and smooth, reliable focusingall in a compact and lightweight body that weighs no more than 1.7 kg (100mm).

The ZEISS Supreme Prime Radiance lenses are grouped in a kit of seven lenses: 21mm, 25mm, 29mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and 100mmall with an aperture of T1.5. Although they are slightly wider than the first Supreme Primes, they remain in construction and do not offer extreme focal lengths.

A new T* blue anti-reflective coating

Instead of simply removing the lens coating, Zeiss has revisited its T* anti-reflective coating formulas and introduced the new T* blue. Thanks to this new technology, lens flares can be planned and reproduced, while also maintaining contrast and avoiding the transmission losses typically encountered with uncoated lenses.

ZEISS Supreme Prime Radiance lenses allow cinematographers to create beautiful, consistent flares, but with one essential function: control. This is made possible by the blue T* lens coating. In normal lighting, the Supreme Prime Radiance performs like a modern, versatile cinematic lens. However, appropriate lighting will cause flare. Cinematographers can decide and plan when they want to create this optical aberration rather than relying on unforeseen effects. Overall, the Supreme Prime Radiance lenses are slightly faster than the Supreme Prime lenses, but retain all the other characteristics of the first-generation Supreme Prime lenses.
