The IPT-10G2-SDI is designed to integrate traditional 3G-SDI video sources into the SMPTE ST 2110 IP video infrastructure.

The IPT-10G2-SDI receives baseband video and up to 16 channels of embedded audio over 3G-SDI, then formats the data for output in SMPTE ST 2110 format over 10 GigE. The associated audio from the video stream is extracted, synchronized, and embedded into the SMPTE ST 2110 stream. Alternatively, stereo audio can be embedded via the included RCA inputs.

2 SFP++ 10 GigE cages are provided, enabling « no-drop » redundancy protection (ST 2022-7) for critical transmission environments.

Connect 3G-SDI sources anywhere on an ST 2110 SMPTE network

With new IP-based installations often requiring integration with traditional band sources, and with existing 3G/1.5G-SDI routers often at full capacity as installations undertake their transition to IP, IPT-10G2-SDI provides a solution for converting camera, router or editing baseband array sources, then formatting and transmitting over IP to deliver that content to a range of destinations.

User control

The IPT-10G2-SDI provides two main control methods. The Ethernet Control LAN port allows you to control the mini-converter from web browsers on any platform and from REST clients. The mini-USB connector facilitates quick initial network setup and firmware updates.

Universal power supply

All AJA mini converters come with a universal power supply including international connectors for worldwide use.

Compact and portable

AJA mini converters are small enough to fit behind a monitor, on the back of a rack, or directly on a camera platform. A locking power connector prevents accidental disconnection, and an optional P-TAP power cable allows for battery charging in remote locations.
