Introducing the Sony CBK-3620XS
The Sony CBK-3620XS is an extension for Sony VENICE/VENICE 2 cameras that allows you to shoot handheld with an exceptional sense of freedom, comparable to shooting with a dedicated camera. It separates the sensor and lens assembly from the camera body, significantly increasing your mobility without compromising image quality. Compact and lightweight, this extension also allows you to capture images in tight spaces that were previously inaccessible.
The CBK-3620XS is equipped with a sensor that detects horizontal and vertical tilt on the side of the camera head. This allows the use of a bubble level and a graphical bubble level indicator on the camera’s main monitor, even when shooting with the CBK-3620XS. Information regarding the camera head’s tilt can be checked when shooting from various angles and with different head angles, which is ideal for special effects applications. Furthermore, the horizontal and vertical tilt are also recorded in the metadata and displayed in the camera’s SDI output.
Four user-assignable buttons (VENICE 2) are located on the camera head for ease of use. These allow quick access to key camera functions such as power on/off and ND filter selection.
