It benefits from optical image stabilization that provides stabilization up to the equivalent of 5.5 shutter stops, which can even be extended to 8 stops in combined mode, ideal for low-light or handheld shooting.
Its optical design incorporates 17 elements in 12 groups, including 3 UD (ultra-low dispersion) glass elements that reduce chromatic aberration to ensure high image resolution. Thanks to its ASC (Air Sphere Coating) and SSC (Super Spectra Coating) optical coatings, the Canon RF 135mm F1.8L IS USM reduces ghosting and flare.
