Introducing the Blackmagic HyperDeck Shuttle HD

The Blackmagic HyperDeck Shuttle HD is an HD recorder and player designed for desktop use. It can function as both a master recorder and a clip player. It supports ProRes, DNx, and H.264 files in NTSC, PAL, 720p, and 1080p video formats. Its HDMI connections allow you to connect switchers, cameras, and monitors. Additionally, you can use SD cards, UHS-II cards, and external USB-C drives to record and play back media. Because the HyperDeck Shuttle HD shares the same design as the ATEM Mini Extreme, it can be used with the latter as a media player. It includes a teleprompter, is available in 13 languages, and iscompatible with all video software and streaming services.

The HyperDeck Shuttle HD is specifically designed for your desk, as its front panel can be operated with one hand. Thanks to its slight incline, you can rest your hand on the scroll wheel and activate the buttons with your fingertips. Since its case has the same depth and angle as the ATEM Mini Extreme, they work seamlessly together. Media scrolling is fast.

Perfect for mastering and playing back clips during live production

The Blackmagic HyperDeck Shuttle HD features a highly responsive control panel with buttons similar to those found on a traditional broadcast recorder. Simply press the red button to instantly record the video input to a file. The recording will be in the format selected in the menu. There are also buttons for playback, to go to the beginning of the clip, and to advance to the next clip. These high-quality buttons were specially designed by Blackmagic Design. The large, machined metal jog wheel supports shuttle, jog, and scrolling for quick clip navigation. All recorder control functions can be triggered remotely via an Ethernet network.

Compatible with SD and UHS-II cards

The HyperDeck Shuttle HD supports the most common codecs, allowing you to work with broadcast-quality DNx and ProRes files. It also supports H.264 for recording in NTSC, PAL, 720p, 1080p, and even interlaced 1080i. Compression ratios range from 60:1 to 285:1, resulting in very small file sizes with full broadcast quality

Network file transfers

The HyperDeck Shuttle allows media files to be uploaded remotely via FTP. Thanks to the HyperDeck Shuttle’s built-in 1G Ethernet, file transfers are sometimes faster than with an SD card
