Description

The Decimator MD-HX is simply a « light » version of the MD-Cross. It retains all the features of the MD-Cross except for overlays and test pattern generators.
It combines several converters in a single compact and robust mini-box with an LCD screen and configuration buttons, and it allows SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI conversions, as well as the incredible Up/Down/Cross format conversion capabilities.

The Decimator MD-HX offers the following 14 possible conversion modes:

1/ SDI IN to HDMI and SDI OUT
2/ SDI IN to SDI OUT and HDMI IN to HDMI OUT
3/ SDI IN to SDI OUT and Scaled SDI IN to HDMI OUT
4/ SDI IN to SDI OUT and Scaled HDMI IN to HDMI OUT
5/ HDMI IN to SDI OUT and SDI IN to HDMI OUT
6/ HDMI IN to HDMI and SDI OUT
7/ HDMI IN to SDI OUT and Scaled SDI IN to HDMI OUT
8/ HDMI IN to SDI OUT and Scaled HDMI IN to HDMI OUT
9/ Scaled SDI IN to SDI OUT and SDI IN to HDMI OUT
10/ Scaled SDI IN to SDI OUT and HDMI IN to HDMI OUT
11/ Scaled SDI IN to HDMI and SDI OUT
12/ Scaled HDMI IN to SDI OUT and SDI IN to HDMI OUT

It also offers four 3G/HD/SD-SDI outputs, allowing it to be used as a simple 1-to-4 SDI splitter. Output pair 1 can be either identical to the SDI input (default) or simply identical to output pair 2.
The audio pairs in the SDI and HDMI outputs can be configured as needed.
It incorporates the same Down/Up/Cross format converter as the renowned MD-DUCC, thus enabling scaling of the SDI or HDMI input with the option to convert the frame rate to the desired output standard.
The MD-HX has a USB port for configuration via a computer and for firmware updates. The power supply features a locking connector mechanism. HDMI and USB cables are included.
