Tokina completes its Vista Primes lineup with the 21mm and 29mm T1.5 lenses. Thesetincludes 11 cinema lenses (18mm, 21mm, 25mm, 29mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 65mm, 85mm, 105mm, and 135mm T1.5). The Tokina Vista 29mm T1.5 PL was designed for filmmakers who frequently shoot with wider focal lengths. It focuses images onto a sensor with full 8K resolution and has a 46.7mm image circle, easily covering standard and larger full-frame sensors up to Vista Vision and beyond. It delivers a natural perspective that flatters subjects’ faces while rendering a smooth background when needed. Lens distortion and chromatic aberration are well controlled, with minimal focus breathing and soft, pleasing light. Additionally, the Tokina Vista 29mm T1.5 features 18 groups with 18 elements and 9 iris blades to ensure the roundness of the openings.
The Vista 21mm and 29mm T1.5 lenses are an ideal choice for cameras like the RED Monstro 8K VV and the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF. The lens features markings on both sides of the barrel, making it easy to read focus and aperture settings from the rear or either side of the camera.
