It produces horizontal blue trails when pointed at a light source, giving your footage a dreamy or sci-fi aesthetic. An image captured in 16:9 will give the anamorphic format a 2.8:1 aspect ratio, while a 3:2 shot will yield a final image of 2.4:1. A key aspect of anamorphic lenses is oval bokeh, which can gently distort distant objects and lights, providing an abstract background for your subjects.
