Wide sensitivity range 10032,000 ISO standard

Even with a high pixel count, the 7R IV offers the highest standard ISO range at 32,0003 and reduces noise in low to medium sensitivity ranges, to create high image quality.

Large AF cover

The image sensor provides high-density coverage with 567 phase-detection autofocus points (99.7% horizontal and 74% horizontal). Contrast detection enables precise autofocus with 425 points.

Fast autofocus even at higher resolutions

Thanks to its fast, improved and responsive hybrid autofocus, the 7R IV is capable of achieving smooth autofocus on the intended subject in low light conditions while processing a multitude of data.

Low AF tracking further improved

The increased number of AF points, the expanded AF sensor coverage, and the improved AF algorithm optimize subject tracking performance for reliable shooting, even in sudden or complex movements.

UXGA OLED Tru-Finder 5.76M dot viewfinder

This 5.76-megapixel electronic viewfinder reproduces subtle details at approximately 1.6 times the resolution of the 7R III. A « High Quality » mode provides greater precision, a more natural image, and eliminates moiré and camera shake. Enjoy smoother images at 120/100 fps for easy tracking of moving subjects

Real-time Eye AF available for videos

Real-time Eye AF now supports video recording by detecting subjects’ eyes and continuously tracking them. Focus on composition; the 7R IV model maintains precise focus on the eye.

For movies, select a subject on the LCD screen. The 7R IV performs focusing and tracking with touch tracking. If the 7R IV detects a human eye, Real-Time Eye AF activates and tracks it as well.

Digital audio interface for clearer sound

The digital audio interface enhances the multi-interface shoe (MI Shoe). Use the new ECM-B1M shotgun microphone or the new XLR adapter kit to record high-quality sound with minimal distortion.
