Introducing the Sony BP-U100

Sony’s high-performance BP-U100 lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 97 Wh. It is compatible with certain Sony professional video cameras, such as the PXW-FS7, PXW-FS5, PXW-X200, PXW-Z280, and PMW-300K1. It is designed for professional video shooting.

The Sony BP-U100 allows for the transmission of status data to the camera, and the remaining capacity is displayed in the camera’s viewfinder. This battery can be recharged in approximately 210 minutes using the optional BC-U1A/U2A charger. A 4-LED gauge displays the remaining capacity at 20, 40, 60, and 80%.

• Thanks to its high capacity, the Sony BP-U100 battery is ideal for extended shoots in the field or in the studio, with the camera carried on the shoulder or mounted on a tripod.
• The battery status is continuously transmitted to the camera. The remaining battery life is displayed on the camera’s LCD monitor and viewfinder, allowing operators to easily and accurately monitor the battery status during shooting.
• The BP-U100 offers significantly higher capacity than the previous generation of BP-U90 batteries.
