Overview of Sony DVF-EL200

The Sony DVF-EL200 Full HD viewfinder delivers brighter images and improved OLED quality for the PMW-F55 and PMW-F5 CineAlta cameras. This compact 0.7-inch (image size measured diagonally) offers an incredible 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution. And that’s not all. Thanks to the latest OLED technology, you get excellent brightness of approximately 200 cd/m²: almost twice the brightness of the DVF-EL100, the previous viewfinder model for the PMW-F55/F5 cameras.

The all-new, high-quality OLED panel ensures improved handling and greater comfort for the camera operator during focusing and framing. In addition to this enhanced OLED panel, the DVF-EL200 is more robust and offers greater ease of use thanks to an improved eye-level metering sensor, rotary encoders for controlling brightness, contrast, and peaking, a heavier, more comfortable diopter ring, a rigid LEMO connector, and a quick-release system for removing the viewfinder from the camera.
The Sony DVF-EL200 viewfinder is compatible with CineAlta cameras, including the PMW-F55 and PMW-F5 models. Connecting it to these cameras requires the use of the viewfinder cables, and the CBK-55AT is required (available separately).

Features of the Sony DVF-EL200

0.7-inch Full HD 1920 x 1080 OLED panel

The Full HD 1920 x 1080 panel allows cameramen to focus and frame their images comfortably and easily.

Brighter OLED panel with higher contrast

Thanks to the latest OLED technology, you get excellent brightness of approximately 200 cd/m²: almost twice that of the DVF-EL100, the previous viewfinder model for the PMW-F55/F5 cameras. OLED technology (a self-emitting technology) guarantees the highest level of contrast. Free from smear and blur, the viewfinder accurately reproduces movement and makes focusing on 4K images easier.

LEMO connector

The robust LEMO connector allows the viewfinder to be connected to F55 and F5 cameras.

Heavy and fluid diopter ring

The diopter ring is heavy and smooth, ensuring easier use. It also features a scale for making adjustments.

Splash and dust resistant

The sight is splash and dust resistant for better protection in the field.

Quick and easy attachment

The viewfinder is attached to the F55 or F5 camera using the CBK-55AT mount (available separately). The CBK-55AT mount provides a system for quickly and easily removing the viewfinder from the camera.

Rotary encoder for adjusting brightness, contrast, and peaking level

The viewfinder features a rotary encoder and an internal menu button. These allow for quick adjustments to brightness, contrast, and peaking without having to open the camera’s menu screen.

Improved eye sensor

The DVF-EL200 automatically reorients its OLED display when its proximity sensor detects that your eye has moved away. The detection range is doubled compared to the DVF-EL100 for improved responsiveness.

Cable and mount for the viewfinder available separately

To use the DVF-EL200 viewfinder with the F55 and F5 cameras, the viewfinder cables and the CBK-55AT mount are required (available separately).
