The SMAD-P3 is compatible with XDCAM PXW-X70, PXW-X160, PXW-X180, PXW-X280, PXW-X200 and PXW-FS7 cameras; Handycam HXR-MC2500, HXR-NX100, FDR-AX100, NEX-VG900 and NEX-VG30 cameras; and 7 / 7R / 7S / 99 / 7S pro and Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 (July 2015) interchangeable lens digital cameras.

Strengths

No need for an additional XLR cable

With a multi-interface accessory shoe, the audio signal from a UWP-D11 or UWP-D12 wireless microphone can be transmitted from the wireless microphone receiver to the device, without an XLR cable.

The accessories can be powered by the camcorder or digital camera

Power can be switched on from the camcorder or digital camera.
