Description

Introducing the Simera-C Series of 6 Thypoch Optics

The Thypoch Simera-C Series of 6 lenses brings together six full-frame cinema focal lengths: 16, 21, 28, 35, 50 and 75 mm.

This series is available in two mounts: Leica M and Sony E.It covers common full-frame shooting needs, from the ultra-wide-angle 16mm up to 75mm for -ups and portraits. The 16mm has a maximum aperture of T1.9; the 21mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 75mm have a maximum aperture of T1.5, with an aperture range extending to T16.

The lenses utilize aspherical, LD, and HR elements to minimize chromatic aberrations and maintain image sharpness. Multi-layer coatings reduce flare and ghosting while enhancing contrast. The 16-blade diaphragm produces a rounded bokeh, useful for isolating subjects at wide apertures.

The Thypoch Simera-C Series of 6 lenses features a compact design, ideal for handheld, gimbal, low-angle, vehicle, and tight-space applications. The ring positions are consistent across the series, facilitating lens changes with follow focus. Focusing marks are indicated in both feet and meters.

Case studies

  • Full-frame fiction filming with a coherent use of focal lengths from 16 to 75 mm.
  • Low light capture with T1.5 or T1.9 apertures depending on the focal length.
  • Gimbal shots requiring compact lenses and quick changes.
  • Shots in confined spaces with 16, 21 or 28 mm to maintain distance.
  • Portraits and -ups with the 50mm or 75mm lens at shallow depth of field.
  • Leica M configuration adapted to Canon RF, Leica L, Nikon Z, FUJINON X or via PL-to-M depending on the camera body.
