Presentation of the Tokina Expander PL-E

The Tokina PL-E Expander is a 1.6x optical converter from Tokina’s PL to Sony E-mount system . It is designed to allow the use of PL lenses in Super 35 format with 6-8K HD Sony E-mount full-frame cameras. This expander enlarges the image circle diameter on the camera’s sensor by a factor of 1.6x, making the lens suitable for use with cameras with sensors up to 1.85.

Constructed with seven elements in four groups, the Tokina Expander PL-E offers an aperture compensation of only 1.36 T-stops. This expander works best with lenses with apertures of T2.0 or wider, and when stopped down to T2.8 or narrower.

The Tokina Expander PL-E is lightweight and durable. Optimal performance is achieved with lenses having a maximum aperture of T2 or wider and set to T2.8 or narrower.
